It was daytime, and Demmint was quiet and careful, walking along the small ledge that lead to the large gap filled with a river full of water, and various water pokemon swimming along joyfully. A shiver overcame the Eevee, how she hated water, the feeling of it touching her dainty paws and pressing her long, yet dull fur against her bodice. She grimaced at the thought, continuing to walk delicately and carefully, as not to fall into the moist abyss. Her eyes looked ahead seriously, her mind thinking for awhile, about the past events that occurred with her, and shook her head unahppily, nearly losing balance and falling in. She grimaced, before continuing her negative walk along the ledge for no particular reason, until a noise coming from her right startled her, sending into her a defensive battle decision. Not really thinking clearly, her hind paw slipped over the edge, sending the rest of her with. She growled, attempting to grip on with her paws, but it was obvious she was going to fall.

The sun was shining brightly above Trinket Trench, without a cloud in sight. The rays beat off of Kuro, making it warmer than it was already. It's wasn't too hot though, maybe making him a bit thirsty. Though, a drink by the trench wouldn't hurt. Maybe in those shallow parts where the trench slanted he could take a small bath. It was possible...
Kuro wasn't really feeling anything today, just content. He walked forward, trying to scent out the fresh-water in the lake. It wasn't very long until it was actually in sight. The undergrowth blocked most of his sight from the waters, so it took longer to get there.
The Poochyena reluctantly used hid large parts to make a pathway between the bushes, causing a loud sound. Behind the bush, he can faintly hear a movement of grass. Kuro perked his ears and flattened his pelt, before walking through the bushes.
The sight shocked him. His face was filled with horror, as Kuro watched an Eevee starting to fall into a trench...and it was his fault for scaring(?) her! The water seemed still, though he knew it was deep. Neither of them could swim either. Possibilities andwhat concequences would happen came racing in and out of his head, before rushing forward and attempting to grab her by a paw.
Unfortunately, right before he could stretch his neck to her paw, a rosh stood in the way and tripped the hound. He stumbled for a bit and then started doing somersaults. Kuro came tumbling downhill, straight at he Eevee.

Cool water hit the female like a ton of bricks, causing her to almost squeak underwater and sending her to her death. But she stopped herself, using her small legs to thrash herself to the surface, before gasping for air and causing her ears to stick to her delicate head, fur now a dark-chocolate hue with deep yellow tipped ears and tail, brown eyes wide as she swam towards shore, swearing and grumbling the entire time about being sent into the water.
What she didn't notice though was the male pokemon who had tripped, tumbling forward into somersaults straight towards her, and before she knew it she had been sent crashing into the water once more. Under the surface she went, and her eyes re-opened to find a Poocheyna in her face, causing her to glare and instantly charge forward underwater, slamming into him before resurfacing and gulping in air, before hissing and heading to shore before the stupid pokemon followed her. He had some nerve pushing her back into the water, then falling in with her to make it seem like an accident, but she knew better, he was trying to fool her, and for that she was angry, well angrier than she usually was and growled before spitting at the poocheyna,"YOU STUPID MUTT!!!!!"

Everything was a blur, colors came and go out of his vision as Kuro did several somersaults down the slope. Though he could see out of the corners of his eye that the Eevee had gotten up from splashing in the water. Only he himself, crashed into her again and sent them both into the water.
Cold liquid splashed on him face-first. He scrunched it up angrily and flailed in the water, his limbs slowly but surely pushing their way into the surface again. It surprised the hyena pokemon that he could swim, more or less survive in a trench!
He closed his eyes, just breathing in and out. It was peaceful for some seconds, before something started to yell in his ear. He popped his red and yellow hued eyes and frantically jerking his head around. He locked his sight upon brown colored fur, with as scarf-like mane and bushy tail. She sure looked mad, anybody could tell that. His ears deafened for a few seconds, before the numbing went away again.
"Well excuse ME for trying to save YOUR life!" Kuro growled back loudly. He sat up confidently and held his head high, turning his head away and avoiding eye contact. His jaw was closed firmly in defiance, only opening to speak again, this time curtly and firmly, "Don't blame me if you didn't move out of my way."

OOC: Okie so I just thought of something even more dramatic. What if the two fall in love, breed, and then like Demmint get's caught and he doesn't see her again until she's like evolved. Are you okay with that?
As soon as the Eevee heard the dog pokemon respond, claiming to be trying to save her, caused her fur to bristled and her brown orbs became sharp,"I don't what makes you think somersaulting into the water and pushing me down with you is SAVING MY LIFE! YOU COULD HAVE KILLED ME! DON'T YOU KNOW WATER IS A DEADLY THING? I HATE WATER!" She shook her soaked fur angrily, shivering at the thought of having to swim again in the putrid resource known as water. Ugh it was something so terrible. She rarely hydrated herself because of it, not liking the liquid even for drinking purposes. Oh how her bones quaked as the thought of water, it was just so disgusting!!! If she had to deal with water all the time, then she wouldn't be able to live with herself.
Her pink tongue ran itself over her fur, eyes glaring at the Poochyena as she muttered,"What makes you think you were trying to save me punk?" Her ears flicked, though still rather plastered to her dainty head, and even though she was wet, she was relatively beautiful for the common Eevee. Of course it was rare to come across a female Eevee, but here she was, standing in front of the male with a soaked-to-the-bone body, but still overall pretty. She didn't take much mind to it, as she didn't think of herself as pretty and never thought of her looks, while staring at the Poochyena...who actually looked rather...handsome. His fur was dull, he had a scruffy look to him, but Demmint felt like this was a good part of his appearance, and simply was quiet, still acting irritated even though now she was simply just watching him.

OCC: Sounds great Kiara =]
Kuro only snorted at the Eevee's attempted to call him a 'punk' and act tough. The water soaked him from top to bottom, and it was starting to pool around him. He let out an exasperated sighed, narrowing his eyes again at the Eevee, "Well ever though of something called 'tripping'? Nice try at being tough though" He growled quietly, smirking in an obnoxious way.
The hyena pokemon had soon calmed down after the Eevee made her accusations at him, right after that try to call him a punk. Now to consider it, it was rare to come across a female Eevee, albeit a pretty one. To admit it, this one looked like it had a perfectly groomed coat... well before they crashed into the water. He had gotten a glimpse at her coat. It even felt more soft as they tumbled into the water.
Kuro lifted his brows, curiosity suddenly entering his thoughts. He didn't want to get on the bad side of her, point proved a few moments ago. In fact, he liked those feisty types. They played hard to get, or was it natural in female pokemon? He could never get how girls thought.
He let out a tiring sigh, "Look, lets just forget about this..." The hound pokemon looked down at his paws. Kuro started to mutter in a soft voice, "It's all my fault, I'm..." His cheecks turned a soft pink in embarrassment, "sorry." It was hard to say, and very uncool, but it was necessary, he were to talk to her on good grounds again.
Why am I thinking that we'll meet again? He thought. Why did he apologize to her anyways? They could've just marched off on their merry way. I..I wasn't thinking clearly. He concluded in his mind. Or was it really something else...?

"Acting tough? I am tough pup. I don't know what pokemon you've seen, but I'm about as stubborn as one can get. I don't know what makes you think you're better than me, but you're not, you're just like every other stupid pokemon that I end up running into; oblivious to the world and thinking every little pokemon is gonna be your friend."
After her little speech, she looked the male straight in the eye, not intimidated by him, but felt, almost equal. He had spunk, guts, and she liked that in a pokemon, instead of ones that simply dubbed her as the one doing wrong, and walking away thinking they were being the bigger pokemon. Her ears twitched in annoyance at the thought, and she glared at him still, until his words filtered through her head, and this certainly took her back.
"Look let's just forget about this...It's all my fault, I'm..." he was blushing by now, before speaking again,"Sorry."
He was apologizing? This was something very new. She blinked, before frowning and letting her gaze look stern, and she muttered,"You should be. I could have died in that putrid water." Now she was just being dramatic, but he should have been more careful anyways, but she did admire his courage to say sorry instead of just thinking it was all her fault. She blinked, looking at the Poochyena, before shaking her coat and trying to lick it dry, casually speaking between each lick,"Eh....You're okay...In my book." She continued grooming herself, not making eye contact as she didn't like being forgiving, it made her feel weak, but if he was gonna show he had what it took, then she would step up next to him to prove she too was strong, even though the words from her mouth didn't taste so sweet.

Kuro furrowed his brows at some remarks, but quickly brushed them aside. She probably knew more than him, for all he knew, she could be a trainer's pokemon. Though it seemed that she wasn't even close to being one.
"A book? Whats a book??" He blurted out on impulse. To the Pooch, it was always think later speak now, because Kuro always ended up doing the oppisite of what he was supposed to do when he though too much on choices.
Curiosity was still embedded in his brain, trying to wrack up some answers to questions that filled his mind. But he found no answer to any of those. What was the solution? Ask the subject herself. He wanted to stop referring this pokemon as 'this Eevee'.
"Well hey, intros go first, don't they?" Kuro thought out loud. It wasn't that embarrassing, but blurting out stuff going on in his mind still tinged his cheeks a soft pink. He couldn't help but smack himself with a forepaws, and keeping it there. Maybe with all of these blunders, he could let the cool act go - for just this time.

She looked up at him a simply stared, letting the question of the pooch sink in, before finally deeming the question understandable, and speaking,"It's something humans read. Reading is when you look at items called words, which is basically talking only written down. Writing is when you form words with your hands." Her ears flicked, she couldn't exactly remember how she learned all of that, but she had, and now she was telling him, he seemed rather stupid for asking that question, but at the same time it wasn't, in fact his reasoning was purely innocent. She kind of liked that.
Her pink tongue began to lap up at her dark chocolate fur, brown eyes now closed as she simply only listened for him to talk, her coat becoming less dark, and more light like it had been before, and the coloring in her collar was turning back into the lemon hue it always had. She indeed began to gain the volume back into her coarse fur, and before she knew it, all but her paws were dry, and she was back to being the fluffy little cute pokemon every human thought was just adorable! The thought wanted to make her gag, but she didn't, she simply continued licking her paws, listening as he asked about intros, and she instantly shot back at him,"Well then introduce yourself." It wasn't like she was going to go first, what if he decided not to give her his name, and then he knew hers and could just annoy her with her not knowing of his name. It would drive her nuts, and she wouldn't want to give this mutt leverage.

The Poochyena snorted, this Eevee was smart. Kuro was now semi-dry, water had stopped dripping from his fur. Though small pools surrounded him from the drops. But because of his dark color, the sun had dried it off quickly. Introductions were always introductions, of course. He cleared his throat, feeling some of that gunk come up. Kuro spit it to the distance, over the bushes. Personally, the Poochyena didn't know exactly what to say when introducing anyone, more or less himself. "Er, um, I'm a Poochyena named Kuro." He remarked without a sneer.
((Err, lost a bit of inspiration D:))
