"HOUND HOUNDOUR!" Bone growled to the vulpix coming out of a bush. "LEAVE HIM ALONE!" His eyes narrowed. "Houndour hound! hound." He continued. "its not right to pick on the weak! let him pass by..." His eyes shifted between them constantly a look of rage covered his face.

Rurii barked at his comment. "I'm NOT bad, only others are. They use weak pokemon to do their bidding. Don't think I became a trained pokemon by choice, but I do get benefits. Groomed anytime I want, and I get to fight, which I love." She scuffed his ear with a front paw. "If you want to get out of here that bad then just follow the trees." She flicked her ears in the direction of the few saplings that were about ready to die. "If you keep following them then you'll eventually run into Archtown. Then straight down is Lirani." She wagged her several tails and waited. Then she jumped back as another pokemon jumped at her. She snarled back.

The sandshrew recoiled at the bark, hiding his face behind his arms. "S-s-s-s-sand..." he stuttered. "B-b-b-b-but I n-never s-s-s-said you w-were b-b-b-bad..." Taking a few catuionary steps backwards, he listend to the rest of the vulpix's mini-rant (and calming himself down), before continuing. "I h-h-had n-no idea you w-w-were a t-trained p-p-pokemon...A-are t-t-the stories I h-heard t-t-true? D-d-do the h-humans r-r-really EAT p-p-pokemon w-who d-disobey...?" His curiosity overcame his desire to get out of the wastelands, so he simply sat down and waited for the Vulpix's awnser. He was so interested in getting an awnser, infact, that when the Houndour burst out of the bush, he tunred arround and shushed him, afraid he would miss the awnser.

Bone growled back but then blinked when the sandshrew hushed him. He looked between them and then gave a slight shrug sitting down. He was also curious as to what it was like to be a trainers pokemon. He had often watched from the bushes and seen the battles that went on. In his mind humans were evil but he always wanted the pokemons side of the story.

Rurii nearly fell over with shock. Eat? Were those the silly rumors. She laughed so hard and wanted to hit the sandshrew for the odd comment.
"Where did you hear that stupidness? Eat pokemon? No, they don't. And if your smart enough and cute enough you can train your trainer to do anything you want, like me." She fanned out her curled tails around her body. "My trainer does whatever I tell her to. When I want groomed I tell her to and she does it. I'm hungry? She has to or i'll bite her. Not all trainers are like this though." She remembered the trainer before her current one. Remembered the whip on her sides and the many larger pokemon she had to be pitted up against, even when she was so young. But she shook those memories away. She couldn't tell them that. THat would scare them.
"But i'd rather be a trained pokemon then fending for myself."

The Sandshew blinks a few times, himself being shocked at the truth. "T-they don't e-eat p-p-pokemon? W-well, I g-guess that's a r-relief...and I h-h-have q-quite a few f-friends to c-c-correct if I ever s-see them again." He pauses and waits for the Vulpix to finish, while triying to pick his next words carefully. He didn't want her to enter "Scary Mode" again. "Y-you make h-having a t-t-trainer s-sound like a good thing..b-but w-what about evil h-humans? I w-was t-told over h-half of all h-humans were evil...M-m-maybe t-they eat p-pokemon?"

Rurii jumped to her paws, a snarl escaping her lips. What he said was stupid. She did not like stupid.
"Over half of humans are stupid maybe but not evil. Maybe 1/3 more like it. The human i've got now is stupid, but she's never once hit me. I doubt humans eat pokemon, unless they're fix. Who would eat a lovely pokemon such as I or a hard pokemon such as you or a dog pokemon such as you?" She flicked her paw towards the houndour. "That's just nonsense."

"So it all depends on who you trust." Bone said. "I've seen humans abuse pokemon for loosing a battle, throwing rocks at them and such things." He looked to her and then to the shandshrew. "So its not impossible for a abusive trainer to take him." He closed his eyes thinking.

The sandshrew jumped back at the VUlpix's snoarl. He quickly stood upquicky, stiff as a board. He brought his hand up to a salute, and stammered out an apology. "Y-y-yes mam, j-just nonsense. J-just me b-b-being an i-idiot. S-sorry, mam." He was trying his best not to shake, though the vulpix had thuroughly scared him this time.

Rurii flicked her tails and nodded. She glanced up at the sky. It was getting dark. She'd better get back and soon...She didn't want to miss her grooming session. She needed one with this icky sand.
"Enough of your gibber gabber. I'm leaving you morons." She barked, trying to scare the sandshrew one last time before prancing off, one dainty reddish brown paw after another. She hated walking on sand, especially since she sunk in at every step. She took off at a run, sticking out her tongue the last second.
