A small vulpix sprinted into the area. She seemed to bound in large leaps rather than sprint. Small sparks of fire burst forth from her mouth. She was experiencing excitement for some reason. It amounted to simple hyperactivity.
She leaped up into the air and twisted slightly, landing neatly on her paws. Yeah! She thought proudly. She was young but gaining the ropes quickly enough. She sneezes softly and singed the sparse grass.
Oops. She thought with embarrassment. She hadn't meant to burn the vegetation. Had she? She sighed and pranced slightly.
Regaining some of her senses, she resumed her sprinting. Where was she headed? Only time would truly tell. She ran with a slight limp, but she could explain that easily enough. She had landed on a pebble.
She sneezed and pawed at her muzzle. Her nose itched. She tried to twitch it slightly but only ended up giggling. She sat down slowly and stretched her mouth in a loud yawn. She pawed at the vegetation.
I'm bored! She whined loudly. She huffed and lay down on the ground. She sighed and rolled her eyes. Where was the excitement?!

Kilala was taking a break, so Volt went off to explore the area. "Don't go to far, Pikachu! Kilala called after the mouse Pokemon. Her Starly stayed with her. Volt just wanted to take a look around. What harm could that do?
She ran around playfully, chasing her tail, then running forward again. She laughed. "Hm...I should have had Starly come with me. It's kinda boring myself." Volt said after some thought.
She wasn't watching where she was going and tripped down a hill. She tumbled, rolling on her head down to her tail and repeating the process. Finally, she stopped with a thud on something warm and soft. "Oww...." She complained laying on the soft brown object.

The vulpix yelped and tried to worm from under the strange creature. Get off me! She squirmed and let loose several volleys of fire shoot from her mouth. She would not stand for this! She snorted and tried to bite the creature; although she had little effect.
She hated her small size with such a passion that it hurt to breathe. Why couldn't she be stronger?! Get off! She shrieked. If she had to split the thing's ear drums then so be it.
She growls loudly and lets loose another volley of flames. She's wasting her own energy. She realized this too late. That is..after the fact that she had let loose how many volleys of flames. Great, now she wouldn't have the energy to fight. She groaned and panted quietly.

"Oww! Volt screamed. She jumped off and rubbed her tail. One of the flames hit it. "I'm sorry for falling on you, but you didn't have to hurt me!" She pouted. "I guess I should ask if your alright." She was kinda mad how quickly this Vulpix attacked. I mean really. It's not like she was trying to eat her. "My name's Volt...If you care." She let go of her tail and gave it a wag. It still hurt. Maybe Kilala will give me a potion later. She said to herself. "So who are you?" Volt folded her arms across her chest.

She stood and shook out her fur. I'm Kaloni Kaloethes. I'm a wild vulpix. That's all you need to know, though. She nodded for emphasis.
Anyways, umm..sorry. I should get going! She turned and walked away with the slight limp that had been caused by a stray pebble. Her nose brushed against the ground as she walked. She stretched her mouth wide with a yawn and flopped down near a bush.
She needed a nap and that weird pokemon had hurt her back when it landed on her. She curled up slightly and tried to fall asleep. She knew the fire within her body was burning brightly with life, but she felt no comfort from that fact. She sighed and pawed at her muzzle uneasily. What if the pokemon brought a human back with it?

Hmp. Talk about friendly. Volt complained to herself. "Volt, where are you?" Came a familiar voice. A Starly flew above. He saw the small Pikachu down below.
"There you are." He added landing in front of her."I thought she said not to go too far. What are you doing here?" Volt shook her fur gently on all fours before standing up on two legs again. "I know. I fell down the hill over there and landed on a rude Vulpix." She sighed, wagging her tail again. It still hurt.
"What happened? You look like you got burned." Starly asked. Volt pointed to the Vulpix laying over near the bush. "Blame her." Volt mumbled, still mad about it.
Starly went over to the Vulpix. "I'm sorry. My companion is a bit light in the head." He apologized. "Are you hurt?"

She frowns slightly. I'm fine. Just dizzy and tired. My paw is sore. I'm not usually..grumpy. She murmurs faintly and turns slightly, beginning to miss the warmth of her egg.
She tucks her head under her legs and sighs. With a sneeze, she stands and dips her head. I..I should get going. She dips her head once more and turns, walking away quickly. Her pace seems fairly quick.
The pokemon makes her nervous. She sighs and shakes her head, cursing her stupidity. Her paw steps are light and calculated; despite the pain in her paw. She loses her balance for a moment and stumbles. A snort breezes past her nostrils.

The Starly saw the fox Pokemon hurry off and stumble a bit. What's she in a hurry about? He thinks. "Come on, Volt. Let's go. Kilala's looking for us." He shouts as he turns to his companion. "OK. Have it your way." She complains. She wasn't ready to go back yet.
Kilala got a little worried. Where are those two? She asked herself. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a Vulpix moving rather quickly. It seemed to walk with a slight limp. Ahh...Is it hurt? Poor thing! She got up and slowly walked over in its direction. "Are you OK, Little Vuplix?" She asked. Kilala kept her distance. She didn't want to scare it or give it the wrong idea. She only wanted to help make it feel better.

Kilala saw her two Pokemon had come back. Thank god they're OK. She sighed to herself. Her attention came back to the Vulpix. It seemed like it was hurt, but she couldn't tell for sure. The small fox Pokemon looked tired and fell asleep next to her. What was she gonna do? The Pokemon seemed to trust her. Was it wild? It couldn't have been. Wild Pokemon weren't this trusting. But what was it doing so far from its trainer then?
Kilala gently picked her up and carried her over to the bag she had let at her resting spot. Kilala layed the Vulpix on her lap. Her small body was so warm and soft. If she did have a trainer, they must have been lucky to have her.
Kilala noticed one paw was hurt. "You poor thing. No wonder your tired. Let me see if i can fix it for you." Kilala pulled her bag to her and dug in it. She found a bandage wrap and and potion. She sprayed the potion on the paw and gently wrapped it up. "Where's your trainer? They should take better care of you." Kilala complained when she finished. Volt knew the Vulpix had asked for food and Kilala had a few berries in her bag. She dug into the bag herself and found a Pecha berry. Volt offered the berry to Kaloni.

She opened her eyes slightly and gripped the berry gently between her lips. She ate quickly and examined her paw soon after. It didn't hurt anymore. She yawned and nestled against the girl. Tiredness took hold once more as she drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
She squirmed and peeked open her eyes. She looked up into the girl's face then hopped unsteadily off of her lap. With a quiet dip of her head, she sprinted off. She still moved with a slight limp but it wasn't as obvious. She dived under a bush.
She curled her small body around the remnants of her egg that she had so carefully toted wherever she went. She must have seemed strange. A lone Vulpix with a broken egg on her back. I..suppose I am strange; almost seeming domestic when I was born in the wild. She murmured quietly.

Kilala watched as the small fox Pokemon gently got up and went on her way. "Good-bye! I hope you feel better!" Kilala called out. "Well, guys ready to go?" She asked her Pokemon as she got up to her feet. She hoped the little Vulpix would be alright. Kilala slid her backpack on and Starly perched himself on her shoulder. The three headed off on their way. Maybe they would see the Vulpix again some day. They sure hoped so.

She yowled as a pokemon slammed into her. She struggled to stand up. "Leave me alone," she whimpered quietly. It wanted a fight she couldn't provide. Her side ached and her head felt like it was about to explode.
She whimpered quietly and sank onto her side, curling into a ball. Stars danced within her vision, and she didn't know how to defend herself. She hoped the pokemon would just go away. She knew it was wishful thinking, but she couldn't help herself. She twitched slightly.
"Oww," she whines quietly. The pokemon had done some damage and left. Story of her life. So much for getting through life without a fight. She struggled against the haze that had settled in her head after the pain truly sank in.

Volt heard the sound of fighting off in the distance. Could that be Kaloni? She thought before running toward the sound. Kilala heard Volt take off. "Huh? Where are you going? Pikachu!" She called running after the yellow mouse.
They came to find the Vulpix hurt on the ground. "Oh, no!" She gasped seeing the fire fox in pain. She scooped it up in her arms and held it close. Kilala looked around, trying to find the owner. Did she have one? Kilala didn't have time to search she had to get the Vulpix to the Pokemon Center. She ran as fast as she could to the nearest town, Luminance Village.
She arrived at the center panting and completely out of breath. "Please!.....You have....to help...this...Vulpix..." She managed to say to the nurse at the desk between breaths. The nurse nodded and took the Vulpix in the back room.
Kilala waited in the waiting room. It seemed like she waited forever till finally the nurse came back out. "She's gonna be fine. But you need to take better care of you Pokemon." The nurse scolded a little. The little Vulpix was sleeping peacefully in her arms. "She's not mine. I don't know who she belongs too. I don't even know if she has an owner." Kilala clarified taking the warm fox from her. Honestly, Kilala kinda hoped she didn't have one. She had grown a little fond of the fox. She walked outside to return to route 5. If this Pokemon had an owner, she was ready to yell at them for being so careless with her and if not the Pokemon would be home again.

She stirred slightly and lifted her head. "Momma," she mumbled quietly and squirmed. With a groan, she curls up tightly and drifts back off to sleep. Her head found its way into the girl's curve of her jacket. Warmth radiated from her brown fur as the flame within strengthened.
She reached up and touched her nose to the girl's cheek with wide eyes. Her gaze was pleading. Twisting slightly, she prodded the pokeball tucked away. She prodded it again and again. She hoped that the girl got the drift.
She squirmed and tried to paw at her cheek. "Help me," she whispered to Volt. She struggles slightly and burrowed within the girl's jacket. She peeked her head out of the jacket. She gazed around happily.
