Ryo carried Irony, his Skarmory, into the pokemon center. The giant metal bird was not fond of being carried but was forced to due to an accident that had occurred while training. Due to a failed calculation on an areal ace practice attack, Irony had suffered a sharp crack to the metal that covered the tops of his wings. Far too proud a creature to return to his pokeball when he was asked, Irony had insisted on trying to come back to the pokemon center by himself. Despite this, Ryo helped him. Feeling the blast of cool air as he walked into the center, Ryo turned his head towards the normal place a Nurse Joy or something of the like would be. However, the green haired man did not find anyone off hand and was forced to start walking around the pokemon center.
"Hello?" Ryo asked as he continued carrying Iorny.

Angelo was lounging in one of the pokecenter couches, doodling the persian who stretched out on the floor beside him when he heard the whisk of the automatic doors. His blue eyes raised warily as someone entered the center, clutching a skarmory- which he figured must be difficult, since the metal birds seemed heavy- and glancing toward where joy had been a few minutes before. Where had she gone? /Probably to check on some pokemon in the back or something. Or snuck out to meet that boyfriend of hers./ Grumbled the breeder, but he abandoned his sketchpad and nimbly stepped over his snoozing feline. Striding up to the trainer, and eying the injured bird, he was about to open his mouth in return of the greeting until his eyes caught the crack in the birds hard natural armor. Glancing around and seeing no nurse in sight, he stepped back toward the couch to pick up his backpack before turning abruptly to the stranger and frowning, hands rifling through the contents in his bag.
"Er... put him on the couch I suppose. Seems Joy stepped out for a bit."

Turning his head to find someone whom had risen from one of the seats and was walking towards him, Ryo was surprised as the man began to talk about the Nurse Joy being out. Breathing outwards a fraction, Ryo moved forwards and set the bird down on the couch. Taking that moment to force himself upwards, Irony refused to remain in a laying down position and had moved up on his feet again. "Relax... Iron..." Ryo sighed causing the metal bird to sigh and remain frozen perched on the couch.
Turning back to the man who had instructed him to place the bird on the couch, Ryo looked back. "Do you know when the Nurse will be back?" he asked before moving to one side of Iron and starting to place his fingers on the bird's neck and then shoulder slowly working his hand down towards the metal that had been damaged. Iron resisted the urge to peck his trainer for moving his hand along the cracked metal, and after a moment, the proud bird allowed his trainer to fully open the wing out to reveal the damage.

He watched as the other man deposited the bird, and tipped an eyebrow in interest as said skarmory hopped up from his laying position. Not that it mattered- he could treat the beast standing or laying, but he figured it was probably a comfort thing. Winged creatures didn't often lay down in such a way. He shrugged, stepping a bit closer to glance the wound over. He nodded slowly, as if taking in the crack, before glancing down into his backpack and tugging out a jar. Reading the label he had placed on it a while back, Angelo began unscrewing the top while watching as the trainer puled out the creatures wing to examine the damage. Convenient.
"Nope. I have no clue." He didn't offer any other words, didn't even offer up his name, simply dipped his fingers into the jar and scooped up a healthy lathering of the gunk. The smell was overwhelmingly citrus-like, indicating some sort of odd berry mix or other. He grinned, remembering at what lengths he had gone to to put this special little mix together. "May I?" he asked, gesturing to the crack in the wing. Whether he was talking to the steel pokemon or its trainer didn't matter, as long as they allowed. One of them, at least.

The Skarmory eyed the man with a keen eye as if trying to determine whether or not he meant harm. Looking towards the green haired man who simply nodded back, the bird let out a sigh and nodded as well. "If it will help him at least until Nurse Joy comes back," Ryo answered back slowly moving his fingers along the wing and now holding it out for the man. It was strange... but a large amount of faith was brought into Ryo for doctors at a pokemon center... men such as the one who had simply come all but out of the blue to aid the bird... along with the Nurse Joys of the world had all received Ryo's respect despite his usual darkness towards people in general.
Iron sighed again now turning his head a bit as if not wishing to view the gunk that was being set on his wing and instead started to view the center around him. The steel pokemon had been in the pokemon center many times before. It was almost a daily cycle in which, after a day of training out in the sand dunes, both man and bird would return to the pokemon center at least fro a bit. Despite the fact that he knew the pokemon center in and out, Iron simply continued to turn his head around this way and that as if looking around.

At the consent of the pair, Angelo nodded slightly and began delicately spreading the mixture on the gash. If this metallic birds skin was anything like the other steel pokemon Angelo had to heal on a daily basis, well... it should help. "It will help. Probably better than some of the things Joy would try first." His touch should be light, as he didn't want to irritate the pokemons skin... or the creature itself. "He's a very fine skarmory. I have a steel pokemon as well, but he's..." Angelo trailed off, chuckling. Unable to sit still was the first thing that came to mind, but he wasn't going to admit that. "Well, he's a bit more twitchy than this fellow. Have a flying too, but again, a bit more restless." His mind darted briefly to his pokemon, and as if sensing he might also be on his masters thoughts, the persian who had been snoozing awoke with a grumbling purr.
Lumbering over to where Angelo knelt to apply the self-proclaimed gloop, the cat pokemon stared interestedly at the orange mixture, and one faint sniff reminded him of what it was, as he had seen and smelt Angelo using it before. Licking a paw and rubbing behind his ears in the manner of a persian, Jazper watched with gleaming gray eyes as his human doctor healed. "In a moment the metal should grow together. Cleanly, I might add. Barely a scar." He sounded proud and he was- his own personal concoction was a remedy for ripped metal. Something he badly needed, with his one excitable steel terror... Angelo screwed the jars lid back on, taking care to wipe his sticky fingers off on one of the rags in the depths of his backpack. "And better yet there is no drugs or anything in it. Organic magic." He muttered, laughing to himself. Though it was true- it was merely a mix of berries and certain other ingredients. Completely hush hush, however. It was a trade secret.
[ As unlikely as it seems, it's... magicccc. xD ]

Iron looked at the Persian as it walked a few feet closer and turned his head to one side with a calm expression. The Skarmory then turned his head on the master and sighed again as the orange smelling concoction was finished being applied on him. Feeling the fingers of Ryo releasing his wing, Iron slowly closed his wing up careful not to spread the orange mixture anywhere else on himself. Rolling his shoulders and then looking at the man who had healed him, Irony gave a half bow in thanks towards him before moving a fraction closer to Ryo as if in wariness at the other human.
Seeing that his metal bird seemed to be feeling better, Ryo let out a sigh and then a half smile made its way onto his face. "You have my thanks," he said to the man whose name he still did not know. "Iron's as well." Irony gave another nod. Turning fully to see the man now, Ryo gave him half a look over. "My name is Ryo Asora."

"Michelangelo winters. Er.. Angelo." He nodded back slightly, zipping up his backpack. The persian chose that moment to snort, as if amused Angelo hadn't winced at his own name. How could he not? It sounded like some Italian and Scandinavian with a love of ice mashed a forename and surname together. Ah well, his parents were always... creative. Or crazy. Maybe a dab of both, judging by what Jazper knew was put into that 'metal mix'. It passed on, he supposed. His owner inherited their crazy. Angelo reached over to scratch behind the cats ears absentmindedly, unaware of the beasts thoughts. "So how did.. uh... Iron... rip his wing?" He was curious, as he had never seen a skarmory do such- not that he had seen that many skarmories.
He had seen other steel pokemon do such, including the one at his belt. He glanced down at the painted surface of the pokeball. Hmm. Salem was too much of a handful to bring out a the moment, especially since he'd probably wreck the entire pokecenter in one of his 'hyper fits.'

As if understanding what Angelo had said about him, Iron turned his head away as though too proud to tell. Ryo, on the other hand, was willing to admit what had happened. "We were training in the sand dunes on rocks with steel attacks, I miscalculated a measurement in height at which Iron was diving at a rock. He didn't have time to fully charge a steel wing attack which caused his metal to smash before he could do fulll damage to the rock." Ryo did not admit though, that the rock had been completely demolished in the process by Irony's full scale attack downwards. It had not been asked of him, so the green haired man had left it out. Iron was a fraction pride stricken that his trainer had simply told what had happened. However, he simply sighed to himself and shook out his feathers. It was not in the nature of the steel bird to hold a grudge on the one he held with utmost respect.
After a moment, Ryo stood up. "As thanks, I'll buy lunch," the green haired man half smiled again back at Angelo mildly wondering if he would actually take up the offer. It was rare for someone to ignore a food give out, but Ryo had seen it before.

Angelo nodded briefly at the story, wondering whether it had worked in the end. Whether the rock had been blasted to smithereens- he figured so, skarmory was a resilient and strong pokemon, or at least so he had heard. Ah well, it didn't matter. The story fit- not that he thought it wouldn't- but Angelo was weak for injured pokemon, and he always made it a point to find out how they got that way. It was an uncontrollable thing he did, almost an unconscious effort, if it didn't require questioning and talking. But this Ryo seemed honest, so he knew he was telling the truth.
"Uh... alright." Was it lunch time already? He had been sitting and sketching since breakfast! How did he lose track of these things? It made since though, as he felt the faint pangs of emptiness in his belly. "Yeah, food sounds good." He grinned sheepishly. Really for one so level-headed, he tended to forget things. Especially important things... like eating. He remembered momentarily that back in the other region when he was working at the pokemon daycare, they would tease him for being so skinny and he would complain it had something to do with his internal clock not functioning right. Something like that... that was years ago though. Jazper, meanwhile, nonchalantly flicked his tail and watched with interest. He may not understand all of human speech- but he knew when food was being talked about, so he purred amiably, gazing on the humans and metal bird.

Ryo was lightly pleased that Angelo had accepted his offer. The green haired man had racked up enough money in the Coliseums of the Ore region to last for a few more years if not longer. The reckless gambles of the region itself incited many to try their luck at defeating Coliseum kings in order to win large sums of money not to mention the slight fame it brought with it. However, after such the trails of his teen years, Ryo had traveled on finding more pokemon and looking for more strength to acquire.
Irony nodded at his trainer's choice as well as Angelo's. The bird would not deny a meal at any time of the day or night. Staring down at the floor a moment, Iron made a strange metalic noise and hopped all but obscurely off the couch. It was rare for the metal bird to walk... and he didn't quite walk at all but simply hopped on the ground. Due to his wing and the low ceiling of the pokemon center, it was not like the metal bird could fly, either way. So iunstead, he hopped and made himself look hilarious yet serious at the same time. Moving over to the Persian for a minute, Iron looked at the cat before nodding and then starting off for the cafeteria of the pokemon center.
Standing up off the couch again, Ryo stretched a moment before nodding to himself. "Irony, not there," he answered back. "We'll go somewhere different, today." The metal bird turned seemed to nod at this, and hopped back to him. "I know a restaurant about half a block away that caters to pokemon as well." Ryo made a motion to the Persian before resting his hand on the neck of the steel type bird again.

Angelo watched with a touch of curiosity in his eyes as Irony got up... and started hopping. He put on a blank face, refusing to laugh at such a noble creature, no matter what, but the urge to chuckle was astounding. He settled for distracting himself by kneeling and shaking jazper's head back and forth, tapping lightly on the red jewel in his persians forehead. An act the feline didn't quite agree with, and he mewed in protest at the indignant tapping. His master seemed to ignore this- whether purposefully or accidentally- and tugged impishly on the beasts whiskers. "Mwaa aaow, siiiaan." complained the cat, glaring up at his owner. -'You really should know better, Angelo.'-
His mewling faded as the metal bird headed for some room then pivoted and returned to his master. The persian glanced about curiously before perking his ears to listen. Jazper purred as Ryo spoke- he knew when he was being discussed, and when food was going to be had, and was an intelligent enough creature to put those two together. Having just as much appetite as his master- he had, after all, catnapped it all to of his system- the persian nudged Angelo back to his feet and stared at him meaningfully, as if provoking his owner into replying. "Oh, sounds good." he nodded thankfully toward Ryo before sliding his blue eyes back to his pokemon. "Not that Jazz needs it, he's getting a bit pudgy...." The cat sniffed the air, annoyed yet again by his owner. That kid, though he had been with him since he was an egg, still knew how to get under his four-legged friends' skin. "Mieewww. Perr, Siaaan." Which Angelo took as something along the lines of 'whatever, let's go.' but which the ticked cat had really had said was nothing of the sort. -'Pudgy is attractive for persians, idiot. You already know that.'-

Irony made a strange mix between a snickering sound and a rolling metal sound at the Persian's comment causing Ryo to turn his and look at the metal bird with a fraction of confusion. Shaking his head, Iron simply rolled his shoulders a bit and made no notion to anything his trainer asked. Instead, the metal bird simply began moving out the door still keeping with his light hopping features that made him both obscure and hilarious o watch. Ryo followed his mildly impatient metal bird out the door hearing Angelo along with the Persian following.
Walking back onto the main street, Iron hopped a few tables and pretty much anything he could find in order to make himself taller before hopping down and continuing onwards. Watching this and resisting the urge to laugh at his own metal friend, Ryo continued walking ass if oblivious to the bird's antics. They continued on until stopping in front of what appeared to be a small restaurant. Taking the front door and holding it open for Iron, Angelo, and Jazper. Once inside, they were seated, and both the metal bird and tall cat were given floor pillows if they wished them. Being somewhat prideful as to refuse a pillow, Iron simply nested himself on the floor peacefully.
