David Knight was exploring the Drylands, looking for a pokemon to add to his team. His Chikorita was following closely behind him. The heat of the Drylands began to get to him. He looked around for a place to rest, and found a rock-like thing. He sat on it, and wiped his brow. He took note of his surroundings, and began to search for wild pokemon while he was sitting. His Chikorita hopped up on the rock beside him, and looked to. His leaf gave him shade, which was an advantage over David, who had trouble with the bright sun.
"You see any, Chikorita? Man, I hope this heat was worth finding a pokemon..."

Minutes before David had showed up, a Shuckle was slwoly working his way across the drylands himself. He was only out here because he wanted a small vacation from the usual over-friednliness of the townpeople. Unfortunetly, he got lost. So now he was working his way in the direction he hoped would be back, but decided to take a break in teh shade of a large rock, and pulled himself into his shell.
Now, he had a trainer sitting ontop of him, and his Chikorita a few feet infront of him. He would have poked his head out and waved, but he was a bit too far from home to believe that he woudn't get caught. So, he stayed hidden and nervously drank a bit of the berry juice stored in his shell, waiting for the trainer to move.

David's Chikorita began to nudge his trainer to get his attention.
"Chika chik!"
David looked down at Chikorita, wondering what was wrong. He got off the rock and kneel-ed down to inspect him. He looked him over, much to Chikorita's annoyance. When he finished inspecting Chikorita, he looked back at the rock, and saw that it wasn't just some random, ordinary rock. He saw it was a shell, most likely belonging to a pokemon. He pulled out his Pokedex, and sure enough, Shuckle's data appeared on it, and the voice relayed the information (just like in the anime). He smiled at Chikorita.
"So this is what you were trying to tell me... good boy, Chikorita! We found one!"
He looked over to the Shuckle, and patted his shell.
"Hey there buddy... Sorry for sitting on you..."

The Shuckle blinked inside his shell. Somewhat annoyed that the Chikorita gave him away, but not much, he cautiously poked his head out. "Shuuu..." was his yawning response to being discovered. To show that he really didn't want any troubble to the trainer, he pulled an oran berry out of his shell and dropped it on the sand infront of him, keeping his eyes on the Trainer. He still didn't trust any trainers this far from the village. No way.

Smiled at the Shuckle as he yawned. He watchesd as he dropped the oran berry in front of him. He smiled, and set the Oran berry back by his head. He motioned for Chikorita to tell him that he meant no harm, and was just tired from the heat. He had no intention of hurting him in anyway, and that he was just searching for pokemon that wanted to be his partner. Chikorita nodded, and translated.
"This is my trainer, David. He came here to search for a new partner Pokemon that would assist him in his Pokemon training. He had no intention of harming you, and still doesn't."

All of a sudden, from across the rocks came a loud yell in the language of Pokémon. «Lies!» it said, echoing repeatedly. Somewhere out there something moved quickly, rapidly moving from rock to rock. Another yell came, this time it was, «He just wants to stuff you in a tiny ball and force you to battle other poor kidnapped Pokémon for money!» But now there was no more movement. Nothing. Just an emptiness after the yelling. [/blockquote]

The shuckle smiled at the Chikorita, and nodded once or twice. "Shuuk, ku shuckle..." he started out. "Well, that's...nice. However, I have no intentions of being caught by a human. Not this far from home, at least. Though I wonder why your trainer acted like a Mr. Mime to tell you this to tell me, when I can understand him just perfectly." He yawned again and began to pull into his shell when the echos sounded. "...Shuck?" was his questioning response, as he poped his head out and began to scan the surrounding areas somewhat franticly.

His Chikorita relays the information back to him the best he can. David nods, and then looks to the Shuckle.
"That is quite alright, Shuckle... I understand completely. If you don't want a trainer, why are you out here in the wild pokemon areas instead of someplace safe?"

Having allreayd forgotten the voice, Duras just stared at the trainer lazily. He knew the trainer coudn't understand him, but...what about drawings? Could he understand those? He rembered seeing some human books before, comparing their letters to Unowns, and he knew how to spell with them. So, extending an arm out of his shell, Duras wiped a section of gorund clear and wrote four simple letters, messing them up as this is the first time he's tried to write in the human's language. The letters were L...Q...Z...T?

David looks at the Shuckle strangely, confused even. He wasn't sure what to make of the Shuckle writing in the Human language. He couldn't even make heads or tails of what he was trying to write.
"L, Q, Z, and T? What exactly are you trying to say? Is it some kind of code? Is it a location of sort? I'm sorry, but I really don't understand..."
He looked to Chikorita, but Chikorita just shrugged also. He hadn't the foggiest idea either.

Duras simply yawned and back up. He did his best, but apprently he just can't write the human's language. Oh well. He considers trying pantomime, but that would be a bit...hard. So, the shuckle just retreated back into his shell for now. "Apprently, I fail at spelling the word 'Lost'."
