Alright Kage, you can do this. All you have to do is walk up to the automatic door, walk on in, talk to the professor, and get your pokemon. Nothing to it. All I've got to do is... take a step.
A tall young man stood before the building in silence, not moving. He simply stared at the building for about ten minutes. This young man's name was Kage, and he was a new trainer. All his life, he loved pokemon. He wanted to be a successful pokemon trainer. And in order to do this, he had to retrieve a pokemon from a pokemon professor. This professor was apparently in the building Kage stood before.
Unfortunately, the new trainer was nervous. He did not like talking to people, as his passion was focused on pokemon. So, in his head, Kage was trying to get himself to take a few steps and walk on in. But the anticipation was killing him.
Finally, Kage sighed and just took that step. And another. And then another. His hands, which were in his pockets, felt clammy and shaky. The young man's breathing was a bit shallow. Each step felt like just one more step closer to an apparent doom. He knew it was stupid to simply be afraid of talking to some guy, but it was hard for him.
After some time, he finally made it inside the cool building. He did not see anyone inside. Oh god, what if he isn't here? What'll I do then? Mustering up the courage he had inside him, Kage decided to call out. At first, when he tried to make a sound, nothing came out. He tried again a bit louder, hoping someone would hear him.
"Hello...? Is, um, anyone here....?"
