Akira watched as the rain drops slowly made little tracks down the window. She wasn’t sure if she was happy that she wasn’t outside or not. She was hardly ever happy it seemed. She missed Eiji, and she missed her home in Johto. She wanted to be with her friends again exploring the nocks and crannies of the large city she had called home. She couldn’t really miss her parents since she could hear them talking in the living room. She couldn’t miss her freedom since she had the same amount of freedom here. She could only wish that she was back in her room in Johto. The move had taken place only a week ago, but she felt like years had gone by. She had yet to hear from Eiji, and a small ball of worry was beginning to grow in her gut. She didn’t like worrying, and she placed the blame for all her troubles on her parents.
Sapphire eyes narrowed slightly as bell-like laughter reached her hears. Her parents even had the audacity to enjoy themselves. She could barely stand their new home. The town was too small, and she people all seemed the same. There was no room for adventure here. She could already tell that this town would bore her stiff in a year. She let a quiet sigh escape her lips. She wished that Eiji was there to tell her about his latest gym battle or about the newest addition to his group of Pokémon friends. She really wanted to make this move a dream, but she couldn’t. She had the bruises on her arms to prove it. Her sapphire eyes slowly filled with tears that she refused to shed in front of her parents, but in the dark was another story. She felt a tear slowly slide down her face, and she just pulled her knees closer to her chest. A good cry wasn’t a bad thing, and it usually made her feel better. She just let out a quiet yet ragged breath before falling into silent sobs.
