Ryo walked out far into the dunes. The green haired man wore light clothes and only carried a water bottle with him as he went. Irony, the collective Skarmory, flew over his trainer's head causing a long shadow to hit the ground that all but made Ryo appear to have shadowed wings. The weather was hot as always, yet there was training to be done, and the green haired man had not been stopped before by the heat. Growing up in the Ore Region that was all sand and heat had made the green haired man more than used to being out in the hot weather. Pushing up his sunglasses a fraction, Ryo stopped far enough into the dunes that one could feel somewhat secluded while not being too far away from the buildings of Arch Town. Bending out his arm in front of him, Ryo looked up and called to his metal bird pokemon.
Irony, hearing his own name and looking down towards his trainer, nodded to himself before diving quickly down and seizing his master's arm with his talons and making an obscure perch. In truth, the large bird was far too tall for the image of Ryo to he allowing him to perch to look anything but obscure. Despite this, Ryo did not seem fazed by it in the least. After a moment, Irony jumped down to the sands instead and shook out his metalic feathers. Looking down at the metal bird, Ryo began to talk aloud as if expecting his friend and partner to understand every word he said.
"You're speed is perfect, my friend, but we must work more on your severity of attack. We will break some of the larger rocks around this area as training today. Then we'll go back to the pokemon center and eat. Sound good?" Ryo asked.
Irony looked up at his trainer a moment before reshuffling his feathers and finally nodding at his trainer. Breaking into the air again with muscular strength, Iron flew up a good undred feet before finally breaking off and awaiting the orders of his trainer. Looking out into the sand, the steel bird caught sight of a large rock before his trainer did. Looking back twoards the green haired man for a minute, Steel nodded to himself and then let out a caw noise to single out his findings.
Looking up and seeing the gesture that his pokemon had exclaimed out, Ryo then looked ahead of himself and found the sight of the rock not too far away. "Good work," Ryo said aloud. "Now, Iron! Use Steel Wing!" Pointing directly at the rock that both man and pokemon saw, Ryo retracted his hand after a moment as he noticed the steel bid pokemon diving towards the rock.
On the cue of his trainer, Irony dove straight towards the rock gaining momentum and speed as he went. As his wings took on the familiar hard steel pattern that were characteristic of the move wing attack, Iron increased his speed and shot straight into the rock. The mass of broken rock fell apart almost instantly as the bird broke through it and then darted up into the air again.
Ryo's eye kept careful watch of the entire attack until his metalic friend broke into the air again. Closing his eyes for a moment and crossing his arms, the green haired man calculated the force of the impact. After a moment, he released his arm and started over towards the rock to see the finished damage closer up.
